Pam joined LSBU in March 2014 as a Senior Lecturer in the Adult Nursing team where she is mainly involved with pre-registration courses. She has experience of working as a Senior Lecturer at another provincial University.

Prior to this, Pam gained an extensive clinical back ground in surgery, mainly specialising in neurosurgery, within university tertiary centres. Pam's clinical interests are neurosciences, leadership and management, with specific interests in both acquired brain and spinal injuries. She has been involved with a number of clinical research studies that have enhanced the quality and outcomes of patient care.

Pam's qualifications include:

  • MSc Strategic Leadership in Acute and Critical Care.  
  • PG Cert in Academic Practice.  BSc (Hons) Health Services Management.
  • P.G. Dip. Clinical Neuroscience (University of Surrey) 1994
  • B.A. (Hons.) Nurse Education (Institute of Advanced Nurse Education, Royal College of Nursing/University of Manchester) 1993
  • Module lead for the Communication in Health Care module at the Havering campus
  • Joint lead for the Clinical Leadership module
  • Teaches acute neurosciences (pre-registration nursing)
  • Trainer for clinical skills and assessor for objective clinically based assessments (pre-registration nursing)
  • Recruitment and selection of student's for the pre-registration nursing programme.


Pam has research interests in leadership and management.
