Mark joined the teaching staff on the BSc (Hons) Forensic Science programme at London South Bank University in 2016. He is a graduate of the University of Guelph (BSc), University of Strathclyde (MSc in Forensic Science) and University College London (MRes in Security Science). He also has a postgraduate certificate in Forensic Drug Analysis from the University of Florida and has won numerous academic awards. Mark is currently pursuing his PhD in Security Science at UCL and his research focuses on the detection and persistence of trace explosive compounds on clothing fabric.

He is the module leader on 5 courses: ‘Introduction to Forensic Science’, ‘Core and Materials Science’, ‘Measurement and Instrumentation in Forensic Analysis’, ‘Marks and Traces’, and ‘Research Methods’. Mark is currently pursuing his PhD at UCL and his research focuses on trace evidence dynamics, drug analysis and explosive investigation.
