Julie Trigg qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1992 at Romford School of Nursing and Midwifery, going on to work in the neurosurgical high dependency and intensive care ward for 8 years, before taking up the unit manager position on the general high dependency unit where she remained for 5 years. In 2006, Julie then joined the critical care outreach team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

After successfully completing her MSc in Adult Critical Care at Imperial College, Julie moved to Queen's Hospital where she established the critical care outreach service.

Julie graduated from London South Bank University in July 2011 after completing the Non-Medical Prescribing course.

Julie teaches on the Advanced Nursing Practitioner Programmes.

Julie is the lead nurse for the critical care outreach team at Queen's Hospital, Romford.
