Within the Sport and Exercise Science Research Centre, Lisa conducts a range of experimental projects centred on the physiological effects of physical activity/inactivity. Her main research interests include exercise as a countermeasure to aging, inflammatory processes of muscle injury and repair, and the use of involuntary muscular contractions (vibration, electrical stimulation) for the preservation of skeletal muscle structure and function in compromised systems. Lisa's recent work has focused on haemodynamic responses to exercise, immobility and injury, and antioxidant supplementation for vascular recovery.

Lisa has worked on various projects within the local community including Change4Life School Health Intervention (Southwark PCT) and the Well London programme.
