comment on the nature, scope and effectiveness of the services provided on
JANET and its feeder networks, including those services which support
access to other wide area networks. It is understood that before an item
is raised at the User Group meeting it will have been discussed with local
Network Support staff.

information may be disseminated on present use and actual or proposed
changes and improvements in the services offered by and though the
network, and also receive feedback from the users.

the UCISA Networking Group for consideration and escalation when
appropriate. The UCISA Networking Group are represented on the JISC
Committee for Networking.

The Regional User Group shall represent all those institutions connected
to JANET within the Region and to other connected institutions not covered
by other regional groups.
-
The membership of the Regional User Group may have one or more
representatives of each institution (normally one will be nominated by the
Director of Computing Services, and others may be from among the technical
and user communities at that institution). The group will also invite
other guests in relation to specific discussions and presentations when
they arise.
-
It is expected that representatives will report back to their institutions
about the JANET User Group meetings and will provide input from users to
the meeting.
-
JANET (UK) will be invited to send a representative to the meeting.
-
The members shall elect a Chair, Deputy Chair and Secretary, and these
appointments shall be reviewed every two years.
